I suspect you could find a Buddhist somewhere who would support all 
sorts of stupidity (I read Buddhist usenet, don't ya know), so I am not 
sure whether  this question produces answers of much value.

That said, the dogmatic assumptions and beliefs that inform the ID 
movement seem to be the type of sectarian views that the Buddha of the 
pali canon suggested we set aside.
