[Buddha-l] Reference

It's from the first chapter of Dwight Goddard's _A Buddhist Bible_ 
(p. 6 in my 1970 edition). But that whole chapter is from P. Lakshmi 
Narasu, _ The Essence of Budddhism_ (2nd ed., 1912, Madras), as 
indicated in Goddard's Appendix.
