Dogen: does a dog have Buddha nature?

Tao-Sheng is famous for two things (that I know of). First, he insisted that
"all beings have Buddha-nature" at a time when this was "officially" denied
in Chinese Buddhism - in fact he got himself temporarily ex-communicated
until the official line was changed. 
Secondly he also wrote about the Lotus Sutra and is very influential in Pure
Land Buddhism.

I am pretty much interested in absolutely anything that relates to Tao-Sheng
in any way - if anyone has suggestions I will be very grateful!
