[Buddha-l] Swearing

Some of us have been attempting to think up ways to swear that are compassionate. Isn't this beside the point? Christian swearing isn't supposed to present one as a better Christian, so why should Buddhist swearing make you a better Buddhist.

How about shouting "Hey BUDDY, the merit YOU generate from your metta-bhavana practice is so empty it wouldn't fill a gnat's bung-hole!" Sri Lankan kids yell such things at one another during the tea-breaks of intense cricket matches.

Or just "I don't give a dhamma," if it's one of those one-day matches and time is short.
