Yes, the only source more authoritative and invariably accurate than
Wikipedia is buddha-l. In this case, the information on Wiki is pretty
much in keeping with what books on Japanese Buddhism say. (Do any of you
remember books?)

Sad that after all these years people are still using ugly, inaccurate,
inflammatory and derogatory terms like "hinayana" (the Sanskrit word for
Republican).
