The book was privately published, and was available fairly cheaply, 
when it was available. "Samizdat " as a publisher is a Conze joke. See

As interesting as the first two volume are, it is volume three that 
deals with all sort of different personalities that Conze dealt with 
over the years and was only to be published after his death. His 
"wife" apparently burned it.
