[Buddha-l] Eugene Burnouf

Hi,
 
I was thinking of getting Burnouf's Introduction to the History of  Indian Buddhism, transl. Donald Lopez & Katia Buffetrille.
 
However,  was wondering if it's worth it. Is the scholarship still relevant? Or are there better books available?
