As I understand the constitution of the USA, which I have read several times in its entirety in the original language, the President of the United States was supposed to be a cutter of ribbons and a maker of pretty speeches. Somehow the whole thing got out of control and the President evolved into a kind of corporate-sponsored warlord. I would be quite happy to have a president who sat around and did nothing at all, except eat licorice. The ideal President of the United States would therefore be Dutch, preferably unemployed, with a half-hearted interest in Buddhism as understood in new age spirituality and a working knowledge of ouija boards.
