Hi,

Dharmasvamin did not mentioned about the library at Nalanda. I supposed it was already non-existence by his time.

For an eyewitness account by a Tibetan of how Muslims treated the last surviving monk at Nalanda, see _Biography of Dharmasvamin (Chag lo tsa-ba Chos-rje-dpal): A Tibetan Monk Pilgrim_. tr. George Roerich, Patna: K.P. Jayaswal Research Institute, 1959. He was too late to witness the burning of the library, but his account is a potent antidote to concerted effort of recent times to whitewash Islamic decimation of Indian sanctuaries and monastics -- a topic that has come up on this list more than once.
