Vasubandhu (digital version) has e.g.:
yathendhanam upaadaayaagni™ prajñapyate eva.m skandhaan upaadaaya 
pudgala.h iti /

So we should also consider that the Chinese may sometimes render the 
verb prajñapyate rather than the noun prajñapti ?

Naagaarjuna continually plays on the meaning of upaadaaya and is 
quite willing to take it in both senses as suits him.
