For various security reasons, this new policy, which came into effect on 9/12
could not be announced in public. It has, however, been rigorously enforced.
Lovers of freedom can rest assured, however, that every contributor to
buddha-l who has joked, ironed, hyperbolized, understated or rhetorically
flourished has been secretly arrested and sent to Guantánamo for detention.
The plan is to keep all detainees there until hell freezes over, which, given
the current state of global warming, has been postponed indefinitely.

  Greetings from the Gitmo "detention" and torture center. It has been about a month since I
   got banished from here for making four posts in response to Richard's banter, criticism,
   hyperbole, and rhetoric.

  If this message makes it to the list, I must be on "temporary" parole.

  There have been some conspiracy theories about AIDS/HIV being made in the lab and
  purposely infecting people in Third World nations as a sick way of population control.

  Like the introduction of drugs to poor neighborhoods to keep them from "revolting" theory;
  the drugs and the HIV made it well past these areas and into all classes of societies.

  Steven Segal, a Buddhist, is one of the proponents of these conspiracy theories.
