Dear All, Sanskrit/Pali "bodhi" is being routinely translated as "enlightenment". Are there any textual reasons why this term - and not "awakening" - is strongly preferred by the authors of the secondary (English language) Buddhist literature? Regards, Artur Karp University of Warsaw Poland
