You are quite right, the tone of my message was sarcastic, and I apologize
entirely for that tone.

It remains, however, a puzzle as to why someone who acts in such a way as to
give the appearance of being a thief, going round private property in the
middle of the night, and is then treated like a thief by having stones
thrown, should be surprised. Bad indeed for your friend, but better than a
shot in the back from a "peacekeeping" soldier or policeman.
